Youth Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (YPBD) 2027

Calling all young members of the Indian diaspora in New Zealand!
High Commission of India in Wellington invites eligible youth to participate in the YPBD 2027 Essay & Reel Challenges.
Essay Challenge
Theme: “The Next-Gen Catalyst: How Overseas Youth Can Accelerate India’s Journey Toward a $5 Trillion Developed Economy”
Reel Challenge
Theme: “Young India, Big Tech: How Gen-Z is using digital infrastructure, deep-tech startups, and global collaboration to build the future of world technology.”
Five winners will receive sponsorship from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, to attend YPBD 2027 in Kolkata.
Who can apply?
* NRIs, PIO/OCI cardholders aged 21–25 years
* Participants must submit both an essay and a reel
Last date for submission: 24 September 2026
