The Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals. Government of India, in association with Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), is organizing the 14th edition of "India Chem 2026" during 22nd -24th October 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, with the theme: "Advantage BHARAT: An Emerging Global Chemicals Hub."
India Chem is the flagship event of the Department and is one of the largest composite events of the industry in the Asia-Pacific region. The Indian Chemicals and Petrochemicals industry is the backbone of the economy, supporting key sectors such as automotive, construction, electronics, healthcare, textiles, and FMCG. India ranks as the sixth-largest producer of chemicals globally and fourth in Asia, with exports from the sector at about US$ 46.12 billion for the Financial Year 2025-26, accounting for nearly 10.44% of India's total merchandise exports.
India Chem 2026 will showcase the enormous opportunity offered by rapidly growing Indian Chemicals and Petrochemicals Industry and various Government initiatives for sustainable growth in the sector and provide a platform for investors, both domestic and international and other stakeholders to interact and forge alliances. This mega event will highlight the investment potential in this industry and support "Make in India" initiative. It will also facilitate collaboration and business expansion of foreign companies in India.
During India Chem 2026, events like Global CEOs Round table, Conclaves on different industry segments such as Specialty Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Agrochemicals as well as on Infrastructure, Environment Issues, Process Plant Machinery will be organized. Chemicals and Petrochemicals Forums of India-USA, India-EU, India-Russia, India-Japan and an International Exhibition with stalls by leading international and domestic companies will also take place.
