Please note that:

ICAO compliant photographs can be taken at any professional studios who can calibrate the picture as per ICAO guidelines.

If an applicant is unable to visit a professional studio for photograph, the applicant can use paintbrush or other similar tools to modify the photograph to make it ICAO compliant.  While using the paintbrush or similar tools, following points should be observed:

  1. If the background is not uniform, the applicant needs to make it uniform, preferably white background.
  2. The applicant should crop the photo to ensure that approximately 85% of the image is covered by the applicant’s face.

  3. Set the pixel size to 630x810 for better quality.

  4. The maximum file size of the photograph must not exceed 250 KB.

  5. Applicants wearing a turban must ensure that it is worn in a way that the maximum area of the forehead and face is visible and not covered by the turban.
