Other Important Relevant Information:

1. Applicants are advised that the High Commission does not process e-Visas. E-Visas are processed and administered by Ministry of Home Affairs of India and High Commission of India has no control over processing of E-Visa applications. The e-Visa is an entirely online service that does not require any facilitation by intermediaries or agents.

2. Some unauthorized websites have been soliciting visa seekers to apply for Indian visa through their online portal against a service fee. Please note that https://indianvisaonline.gov.in is the only authorized online portal for Indian visas.

3. All enquiries related to e-visa, must be sent to: indian-evisa@gov.in.

Please Note:

  • a. Apply only through the official Government of India portal: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html. Applicants are cautioned against using other websites.

  • b. Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in India and must have at least two blank pages for immigration stamping.

  • c. Your e-Visa application may take upto 72 hours for processing.

  • d. Travel must be on the passport used for the e-Visa application. If a new passport is issued after the e-Visa has been granted, travellers must carry both the old (with the e-Visa) and the new passport.

  • e. E-Visa is non-extendable and non-convertible.

  • f. E-Visa holders may enter India only via designated airports/seaports which are listed on the e-visa website (not land borders).

  • g. E-Visas are not available for:

    •      - Holders of Diplomatic/Official passports or Laissez-passer documents.

    •      - Individuals endorsed on a Parent’s/Spouse’s passport (each traveler must hold a separate passport).

    •      - Holders of International Travel Documents.

The e-Visa facility is provided in addition to the regular visa services available at the High Commission and Consulates.
